• Title: Graphic Design for Beginners – Make Ideas Look Brilliant

Graphic design isn’t just decoration – it’s communication. Whether you're designing a poster, logo, website banner or album cover, design helps ideas shine. Getting started is easier than you think – you just need an eye for clarity and a few basic principles.

    Here’s your first creative toolkit:

    1. Understand visual hierarchy.
Design isn’t just what you show, but how. Use font size, color, spacing, and alignment to guide the viewer’s eye. Big title, medium subhead, small body text – that’s your foundation.

    2. Pick a simple color palette.
Use no more than 2–3 main colors. Use contrast wisely: dark vs. light, warm vs. cool. Try palette generators like Coolors.co for inspiration.

    3. Fonts matter more than you think.
Choose readable fonts that match your message. Pair a strong header font (like Bebas Neue or Playfair Display) with a simple body font (like Lato or Roboto). Avoid using more than two fonts per design.

    4. Use grids and alignment.
Good layout = invisible structure. Align your elements, keep spacing even, and avoid clutter. White space is your friend – it gives your content room to breathe.

    5. Less is (almost) always more.
Remove anything that doesn’t add value. Ask: Does this element serve a purpose? Clean, minimal designs are more effective than noisy, overloaded ones.

    6. Learn by copying (for now).
Recreate posters or ads you love just for practice. Don’t publish them, but reverse-engineering is one of the fastest ways to learn what works.

    7. Use free tools to get started.
Try Canva, Figma, or Photopea. You’ll find templates, stock assets, and easy-to-use interfaces – perfect for learning layout, branding, and content creation.

Pro Tip: Share your layouts and WIPs on net-twin.de – other creatives can offer tips on color, type, or flow. Feedback is the secret weapon of every designer.

  • Attention - I was scammed by HRKGames

Insulting support and probably fraudulent dealers at HRKGame.com

Imagine I ordered the new DLC for Cyberpunk from HRK and the key was invalid and couldn't be activated. So I wrote to support and actually got the answer that it was a GOG error and that I should just try again and check my internet connection (lol) - as if that isn't the first thing everyone does in such a case. Even then it seemed to me as if HRK was just trying to avoid giving me my money back and I, as a customer, was condemned to beg back and forth between GOG and HRK support.

But what's really just crazy is the kind of "dealers" HRK does business with and subjects us to them. The "dealer" only had a completely empty GOG profile as a dealer - it only had his username and that was it. That alone sets off all the alarm bells, it screams fraud. It's quite possible that the key was just pure fantasy, or just an old one that someone had already used.

I had bought a brand new DLC GOG key in the HRK shop - but I received a "GOG gift code" from this guy. HRK didn't say a word about it being a gift code.

So I really advise against HRK if they treat their customers like that and then you have to chase after your money because they get involved with such crooks and put us at risk.

I'll never buy from them again, that's for sure. I'm curious to see if I'll get my money back - I don't think so, I have absolutely no good opinion of them anymore. The fact that in the support reply they basically portray me as an idiot who should just try to redeem the key again and check my internet connection - is a real cheek!

    HRK never again!!!

    Best wishes, Andreas

    -----------------------------------

Now I even have proof from the GOG support team that I was cheated by the retailer at HRK - but I still haven't received my money back. Here is an excerpt from the email from GOG support:

    Update: "The Email from GOG"

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

Your code for Cyberpunk 2077 was cancelled as part of fraud prevention. Also, please keep in mind that reselling codes purchased on GOG is not in accordance with our User Agreement - 3.3 and 11.1 (h).

We would advise to contact the third-party reseller, from where you bought this code, and ask for a refund, if that's still a possibility.

When contacting the reseller, you may quote my message which should serve as adequate proof:
"The gift code ////-////-////-//// (Code deleted because of privacy) was cancelled on February 7th, 2025, after the original payment was refunded to the originally used credit card for fraud prevention."

Our apologies for the inconvenience and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.
    Kind regards,

  • Hallo community, it is time for a little system update, some brand new features are waiting for us. I am not going to write down what has improved, you can go on a discovery tour yourself (it's more fun, isn't it)

The site will now be closed for about 15-20 minutes. See you later friends!
